Lessons & Programs
Free Trial Lesson:
Finding the right private teacher is extremely important to aid in the development of any music student. To help in this process, Jam Session is offering free trial lessons. Trial lessons allow prospective clients to come in and meet the teacher, and experience a sample lesson before committing. Trial lessons will last anywhere between 10 to 30 minutes. Potential students who are interested in taking lessons for more than one instrument are invited to take a free trial lesson with more than one teacher. Trial lessons are not available with Jack Schantz.
Private Programs:
Jam Session Music School offers weekly and bi-weekly private lessons. Private lessons are offered in 30, 45 and 60 minute lengths. Most students will only need a 30 minute lesson, but more advanced students may benefit from a longer time.
Group Programs:
At Jam Session we believe that group instruction is just as important as private instruction because most people want to go on and play in a band. Jam Session offers a variety of group programs that will help the music student learn group listening skills, how to play with others, rehearsal techniques, and skills specific to your band and genre (rock, jazz etc. ) The group forum also provides a way for musicians to network with each other and possibly form their own bands outside of Jam Session.
Payment:
Monthly tuition is due at the student's first lesson of the month. Tuition will depend on the number of lessons and or band sessions and rehearsals that the student is expecting to have in a given month. Payment may be made using cash, check or credit card. A service charge will apply to those paying with credit card. For information on how lesson cancellation affects payments, see our policy page.
