Welcome to Jam Session Music School
Welcome to the online home of Jam Session Music School! Jam Session is a school of music dedicated to providing its students with first-rate musical instruction and frequent performing opportunities. We offer private lessons on piano (both classical & jazz), electric/acoustic guitar, electric bass, drumset, percussion, voice, saxophone, trumpet and clarinet. We also form and coach rock and jazz bands. Our groups frequently perform at venues around the Kent and Akron areas.

Band ShowcaseThere will be a band showcase at Paolo's in Akron on Saturday, January 21st. Show starts at 4:00pm. |
End of the Year ShowcaseWe will be having our End of the Year Showcase at Paolo’s on Saturday, December 17th. The show will be from 4:00pm until 7:00pm. There are 3 spots open for this showcase. Each band can play for up to an hour. There is a $30 fee for playing at this show. Bands who will be playing may charge a $5 door fee (please let us know in advance if you want to charge a door fee). Please contact our office as soon as possible if your band wishes to perform at this show.

Mark Gonders Jazz/Fusion Project @ NighttownMark Gonder will be performing with his Jazz Fusion Quintet at Nighttown in Cleveland on Nov. 1st, from 7 to 9:30pm. This group is comprised of students from University of Akron's Jazz program and will feature covers of Frank Zappa, as well as original compositions. The combo will feature selections on electronic Basson. This show costs $10 at the door and will have a half hour intermission. Nighttown is located on:

April band shocase at Paulo's, Akron!!April's band showcase will be at Paulo's, downtown Akron, 1 West Exchange Street. This the old Whiskey Dicks and has been totally renovated. This club features a full service bar and a large array of appetizers. We will be charging $5 at the door, all sales will go to the bands. We look forward to our first show at this new club.
